Many, many thanks for your interest and your publisher’s for their support in publishing the events on December 2004 and again on January 21, 2005 surrounding the petition to Nassau County for installation of turn lanes on Wantagh Avenue at Miller Place/Cotton Lane, Levittown.
Last month the county did in fact install turn lanes at this intersection with the removal of 375 square feet of dirt and a concrete curb surrounding the center median. They repaved the roadway and remarked the lanes and installed left turn signals all in the matter of three weeks.
And, no curbside parking was lost in front of those merchants nearest to the intersection as the county had originally stated.
