LAC 8u Becoming A Force

The LAC 8u Force girls travel softball team picked up right where they left off since winning the 8u Babe Ruth Metro N.Y. championship this past summer, by winning the first ever LAC

Toys For Tots Softball Tournament on Dec. 6 at the Long Island Sports Hub in Syosset.

The girls did so by winning their third and final game 10 to 8 against a tough 10u Central Nassau team. The girls played exceptional defense and had some timely hitting to pull ahead early and held on for the win and for the tournament.

“It was great to see Levittown girls go out there and play the game the right way for a great cause,” said Steve Robins, coach of the LAC force.

Together with the Bellmore Bluefire, Dix Hills Royals, and Central Nassau, LAC collected more than 60 toys for the Toys For Tots campaign. The extremely talented and hard-working 8u LAC Force team consists of Presley Borne, Jessica Bowe, Savannah Brennan, Arianna Feiler, Melissa Gordan, Sara Kealey, Sydney Linn, Sarah Martins, Emma Robins and Nicole Stueckenschneider. All of the girls are looking forward to a great upcoming spring season.
