The Rubenstein Auditorium at Temple Beth Sholom will be the setting for the Sisterhood’s annual Cards and Games Day. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 1, at 10 a.m.
Whether you play cards, bridge, canasta, mah-jongg or another game, this event is for you and your friends. There will be raffles, boutiques and a brunch by Bagel Boss. Bring your games, sets and playing partners. You may participate for $36 or build a cold wall for $54 or a hot wall for $72. This event is open to the community, and men are also welcome to participate.
Helping others is also our game, so please bring three cans of tuna for the TANS (Tikkun Alliance of the North Shore) Pack It Up for Purim Project to be donated to the Hatzilu Rescue Organization. This organization sends volunteers directly to the homes of Nassau County clients to bring them food, as some clients do not have the ability or means to get to a food pantry or soup kitchen.
Temple Beth Sholom is located at 401 Roslyn Rd., Roslyn Heights, NY 11577. Please send your checks by Feb. 24 made out to TBS Sisterhood at this address, and contact the temple office at 516-621-2288 with any questions. Amy Magid and Cindy Katz, the Sisterhood’s vice presidents of fundraising, are the event co-chairs.
