The Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee is proud to announce a $12,500 donation to the Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club, the beneficiary of this year’s parade.

“The Parade is about more than marching bands and Irish pride—it’s about building community and giving back,” said Lisa Forgione, president of the Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. “We are so honored to support the Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club again this year, and so grateful to everyone who helped make this donation possible.”

Now in its 37th year, the Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade has remained true to its mission: celebrating Irish heritage while giving back to the Glen Cove community.

The Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club provides essential programs that support the academic, emotional and social development of local children and teens. The Parade Committee is proud to support this vital institution and its ongoing efforts to uplift the next generation.

This year’s parade Grand Marshal, Joe McDonald, and aide Irene Abrams attended the check presentation.

“What makes this parade truly special is not just the celebration—it’s the giving. To be part of something that brings joy to the streets and real support to our youth is incredibly meaningful,” McDonald said.
