Get ready for a night of classic to modern rock hits at the John Philip Sousa Bandshell in Sunset Park. On Saturday, July 26, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Glenn Strange with take the stage to rock Port Washington.

Over the past several years, Glenn Strange has become a recognized name in the live music scene on Long Island and in New York City. At their regular gigs at well-known music venues, as well as at restaurants, private parties and festivals, they draw large crowds with their mix of covers and originals.

Glenn Strange is Giancarlo Bellistri on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Jack Chambers on lead guitar and backing vocals, Rowan Cookman on bass and backing vocals, and Luke Rinaldi on drums.

With influences ranging from The Beatles, Elvis, The Beach Boys and Led Zeppelin to Nirvana and Foo Fighters, the foursome delivers high-energy performances with fine sound quality and smooth transitions. The band’s original songs show off their musicality with rock-vibed guitar riffs and lyrical hooks that stay in the same lane as their cover repertoire.

Glenn Strange recently wrapped recording at Westfall Recording Studios in Farmingdale, and they have begun releasing original music like, “Sunday Mornings,” “Last Train From Penn Station,” and “Waiting For the Shoe To Drop,” on all streaming platforms.

This event is made possible with funding from the Friends of the Library.
